How do I wipe my computer clean and start over?

I know my ex had a keylogger on my computer and I think it’s still there. I’ve had this computer for a year now and think that it’s probably not a bad idea to just start over with it. I have all the original disks it came with.

How do I go about wiping it out to start over?

Any help would be very much appreciated.
